My fifth Byte Bite is based on startpages. If you don’t know what a startpage is than either you just haven’t heard the term or you’re still using IE8. Either way this will help catch you up to date. A startpage is a personalized homepage normally containing your favorite bookmarks. Google Chrome have their hub, Firefox has many plugins for startpages, Opera has their speed dial, but customizing enthusiast will be using their own custom template for the start page.
If you’ve ever used an original phat PSP you will already know the jest of a custom startpage, chances are that you’ve used portals. A custom startpage is just like designing your own website; most of the time these pages are coded in html with some exceptions of flash for the really unique. The startpages I’m about to show you are great examples of simple pages that can be downloaded and customized to the personal tastes of anyone who knows simple html or has a little common sense\intuition.
